CSoM NEWSLETTER – January 2016
Happy New Year!
With 2015 in the rear-view mirror, we look forward to another great year in Golden and an exciting and productive 2016. We’re proud to be entering our tenth year providing private music lessons to the Golden community and the Denver Metro Area. Thank you for your support. Keep reading in 2016 for information about the2016 CSoM Recital and new instructor bios…
Making a Band? Are you interested?
Although we specialize in private lessons, we have had customers express interest in a ‘rock band’ style group class that would involve students from different disciplines getting together to learn and enjoy playing in an ensemble. This would be a weekly group class lasting six or eight weeks, and could potentially include students of any instrument or voice. We’re curious to see if there is interest for this type of class, so if you think you’d be interested in trying a class like this, please let us know by speaking to your weekly instructor or emailing us at info@coloradoschoolofmusic.com!
Goodbye, Hello…
We are sorry to see the departure of our current violin/viola instructor Emily Feekes, who is moving out of the area and will be teaching her final lessons the first week of January. Thank you to Emily and we wish you the best!
With Emily’s departure we are happy and proud to welcome violin instructor Callie Brennan to our staff at the Colorado School of Music. Callie will join us on January 11th and will be teaching violin lessons for all of Emily’s former students. Look for Callie’s bio to appear soon on our website – and more about her in next month’s newsletter!
Never Too Old…music lessons for adults!
Music lessons are for the young at heart, not just the young. If you’ve been thinking of renewing your love of piano or taking your guitar playing to the next level, try a private lesson with us! At the Colorado School of Music we are proud to have many adult students on our roster, studying all different disciplines. Our instructors are experienced with students of all ages, and will be happy to work with you to be sure that your lessons meet your individual needs.
Adult music lessons are available for all instruments, including guitar, piano, drums, violin, and more.
The Snow is Here…
Now entrenched in the cold months, we get questions regarding our policy for winter concerning snow closures. In the event of a snow closure, The Colorado School of Music will post an announcement on our website: www.coloradoschoolofmusic.com the morning of the day in question to announce the closure. Due to our large schedules we don’t make personal calls regarding snow days, so please check the website when in doubt.
Happy New Year!
